Princess Beatrice also shared an adorable photo of her youngest son, Ernest, in a warm embrace with his father. ‘We love you’, read the image of one-year-old Ernest, who celebrated his birthday earlier this year.

The young family announced the birth of Ernest in May last year, telling her supportive followers that ‘we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1 lbs.’

Eugenie revealed that the second of his middle names comes from her beloved grandpa Ronald Ferguson, father to the Duchess of York.

The Brooksbanks released some special photographs to celebrate Ernest – affectionately known as ‘Ernie’ – on his birthday last month. The photographs of the 12-month-old appeared to show the little boy at various milestones in his life. In the first, he can be seen sucking his thumb while relaxing in a garden. In the adorable snap, Ernest can be seen wearing a personalised Chelsea football strip. In the second, the little boy posed with his back to the camera while at a play centre, while the third appeared to show the young royal taking part in an Easter egg hunt. The final snap showed a sweet moment between Ernest and his older brother, August. The toddler could be seen offering Ernie a kiss on the head in the photograph. The eldest son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, August was born on 9 February 2021 at the Portland Hospital in London and is twelfth in line to the throne.

Princess Eugenie joined the Father’s day celebrations with other members of the royal family. The official social media account of Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a never-seen-before family photo of the Prince of Wales with Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte. The image, thought to have been taken by the Princess of Wales in Norfolk last month, marked the social media debut of the Wales children, who wrote: ‘We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day,’ before signing the post ‘G,C & L’.
