(WSET) — Congressman John McGuire honored ABC13’s late Mark Spain on the House floor in Washington DC on Tuesday.
Mark passed away in December after battling pancreatic cancer. He helped keep the region informed about the news for nearly ten years and contributed to his community.

That impact is why McGuire took to the House of Representatives floor on Tuesday.
“Mark Spain was known for his sense of humor, his smile and his positive nicknames for his friends in the office,” McGuire said during his words. “Mark was a consistent voice in the community, and will be remembered as a pillar in the Lynchburg, Virginia area.”
