I thought we had banned the worship of Cernunnos about 2000 years ago
Is this northern italy? Or is that celebrated all over italy?
The guy with the Horns rlly resembles our Krampus tradition, which besides austria is also practiced in northern italy/South Tyrol aswell if i remember correctly (which funnily is ex austria aswell and people still speak german in many parts there )
Ps.: im not a patriot who demands Südtirol and i dont care about the Südtirol Austria/Italy discussion and hope to not get into that with that little comment haha
Edit: Nvm he actually doesnt look like krampus but just has fur and Horns bound to his body
To be fair I’ve seen similar things in German Mittelaltermarkts.
Why do i have the feeling its a tradition closely related to our villages bordering Spain. Lets beat the demons with sticks, lets use cow bells to make noise, lets make ugly masks to scare the demons. We call them by many names chocalheiros, caretos or farandulos… But if @OP does not recognize this then I guess Carantoñas is after all a non spanish tradition.
