Claude has announced the release date of his Eurovision 2025 entry.

The Dutch representative for Eurovision 2025, Claude, has confirmed that his song will be released later this month, on February 27. The announcement was made via his Instagram account, revealing no further details.

Claude was internally selected by a special Selection Committee to represent the Netherlands in Basel in May. According to the committee, he was chosen because he best embodies the image and talent they want European audiences to experience on the Eurovision stage.

In the official AVATROS press release, the committee commented on the selection of the song:

“Claude was selected because he had a meaningful, connecting, and hit-sensitive song with international appeal that can effortlessly win the hearts of young and old Eurovision voters.”

Claude, also known as Claude Kiambe, is a Dutch singer born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He moved to the Netherlands at the age of nine and rose to fame in 2022 with his hit single Ladada (Mon dernier mot), which has amassed 57 million streams. In 2024, he received several awards for his singles Layla and Écoute-moi. He is also set to perform at Pinkpop Festival, one of the biggest music events in the Netherlands, in June 2025.

The Netherlands was last represented by Joost Klein in Malmö, Sweden. After placing second in the Second Semi-Final with 182 points, he was scheduled to perform fifth in the Grand Final. However, he was disqualified from the competition following allegations of misconduct.

The Netherlands debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and has gone on to compete in all but four contests. The Netherlands has won the contest on five occasions; 1957, 1959, 1969, 1975 and most recently 2019. Prior to Duncan Laurence’s victory in Tel Aviv, the Netherlands had been waiting 44 years for their next victory. Duncan Laurence won the contest in Tel Aviv with the song “Arcade”.
