The founder of Yo! Sushi, Simon Woodroffe, has revealed he was sexually abused as a young boy by the headmaster of the Princess of Wales’s former boarding school, Marlborough College.

The 73-year-old multi-millionaire attended the £59,000 a year public school aged seven from 1959 to 1970 and detailed being sexually abused and bullied by the head which left him confused about his sexuality.

Mr Woodroffe said: ‘I went to boarding school when I was seven and all sorts of things went down there.

‘I’ve actually written about it and it will come out in due course but the headmaster there liked to have a fiddle around, he really did.

‘And so I had all that, what’s now called, abuse. That sort of put me on a track where I was not quite sure how I felt about the opposite sex and all of that stuff. It was a confusing time.’

The father-of-one and entrepreneur founded Yo! Sushi in 1997 after a stint in jail as a teen for selling drugs and later the hotel chain Yotel before selling the business in 2003 for £10million.

He appeared as an investor in the first series of Dragon’s Den and is now looking to raise funds to test new models so the prison system can be regenerated.

The father-of-one told Andy Coulson’s Crisis, What Crisis podcast that his autobiography going into more detail about the abuse he suffered would come out in a year.

Kate Middleton attended the co-educational school between 1996 and 200 and took her eldest son, Prince George, 11, for a visit last year as she and the Prince of Wales look for Schools for when he graduates from Lambrook Prep School in Berkshire.

Mr Woodroffe’s revelations come a month after the Mail on Sunday revealed Kate had settled on the Wiltshire college in Wiltshire for George with Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, to follow suit.

This is not the first time Marlborough College has found itself at the centre of a historical sex offences allegation as last year the police investigated claims of a predatory teacher in the 1980s.
