Karaoke lovers will soon be able to blast out their favourite hits in the heart of Luxembourg’s capital as a former bookshop is given a new lease of life.

From May, visitors to the former premises of the Alinéa bookshop in Rue Beaumont will no longer be able to pick up the latest book, but a microphone.

Caribou Karaoké offers 320 square metres of private rooms on two floors where you can sing undisturbed and, above all, uninhibited.

There are also some changes afoot along the Grand Rue: L’Occitance en Provence will be the successor to the MAC make-up shop at number 79, will the Natan shop will open at 101 Grand Rue later this year.

At the beginning of last year, Pit and Vero Wanderscheid announced that they would be closing both their delicatessen in Rue du Fossé and L’Atelier in Rue du Curé.

However, the lights are back on in both shops: Café Bora has taken over in Rue du Fossé, with a speciality: crêpes. In Rue du Curé, West African specialities have been served at Odum since the beginning of February this year.

Right next door to Odum, ThéRâPie combines the best culinary and cultural aspects of Japan. In addition to the tea parlour and restaurant, there is also the MedSpa Salon, a Japanese pâtisserie and various workshops on the premises.
