The royal is not usually considered to be a senior working royal, because she does not carry out duties full time on behalf of the King. But with King Charles taking a step back due to his health battle, and Kate Middleton absent from royal duty amidst her recovery from cancer, Princess Beatrice has been showing her dedication to The Firm.
The Princess was known for her close relationship with the late Queen, to whom she was fiercely loyal. In a touching move, she poignantly chose to wear a gown from Her Majesty for her wedding to Italian property developer Edo Mapelli Mozzi on July 17 2020 at the Royal Lodge. She has shown the same kind of loyalty to King Charles amidst his cancer battle, becoming one of the first to be seen to visit the monarch at Clarence House following the diagnosis.
After the Queen‘s death, she was promoted to become a ‘Counsellor of State’ – a senior royals who can represent the monarch on official duties when necessary. She has since supported The Firm at a number of royal events, including the King’s Coronation and Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol concert.
