Council tries to ban nudists from being nudists on semi-nudist beach

1. Aren’t all beaches semi nude?

2. Er, Corton Parish Council is being slightly disingenuous.

   In England, public nudity is not illegal unless proven the nude person was out to cause distress or alarm. I think that on a beach that would be difficult to prove, even if someone was pretending distress. Lewd behaviour, on the other hand, is an act intended to offend, and is not (semi) naked sunbathing,

3. They are conflating two,different issues. Being naked doesn’t necessarily lead to lewd behaviour. You can undertaking lewd behaviour with your clothes on . So they need to be clear it’s lewd behaviour they are/need to target. And of course if they do deploy CCTV they will need to place clear notices about who “owns or runs” the CCTV

4. If it’s a semi nudist beach can you only use it if you have a semi ?
