Prince Harry just wrapped up the seventh iteration of the Invictus Games, his multi-sport competition for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and servicewomen—both veterans and those still serving.
The latest Games were in Canada, both Vancouver and Whistler, and represented the competition’s first foray into winter sports. Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014, and the Games just marked their tenth anniversary last year.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the Duke of Sussex said of life since 2014—during which time he met, got engaged to, and married Meghan Markle; welcomed their two kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet; moved to the U.S.; and left life as a working royal behind, for starters—that he “wouldn’t change any of it.”

“Today, I have the benefit of hindsight and experience, but I wouldn’t change any of it—except still wishing there were no need for the Invictus Games,” he told the outlet.
Since they met in 2016, Meghan has attended every Invictus Games competition, beginning with the 2017 Games in Toronto, where she was conveniently filming Suits at the time. Of his wife’s support, Harry said that she “has been part of this community since shortly after the Orlando Games in 2016 and has loved every minute of it.”
“There are so many special memories,” he added, specifically citing a memory from the 2018 Sydney, Australia Games, when Meghan was pregnant with Archie. Harry remembered getting a “bear hug” from one well-wisher and said “my genuine concern that he might try the same with my wife, who was pregnant at the time!”

The Duchess of Sussex joined her husband for the first half of the 2025 Canada Games, flying back to Montecito and their kids on February 11. The Games didn’t conclude until February 16, which meant the couple spent Valentine’s Day (a favorite holiday of Meghan’s) apart. Although they were apart, Meghan wrote a sweet Instagram tribute to her husband on February 14, declaring “love wins” in a hashtag.
Of the romantic post, Harry told Us Weekly that “the Instagram shoutout was very sweet and much appreciated!”
After the first iteration in London in 2014, the Games will return to the U.K. in 2027—Birmingham, specifically. Of the Invictus Games, Harry told Us Weekly, “I’ve learned, evolved, and been shaped by the resilience and brilliance of our Invictus community. Serving them and their families remains one of the greatest privileges of my life.”
Just as Meghan supported Harry during the Games earlier this month, Harry will likely be on hand to support his wife as her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, debuts on March 4 after being pushed back from its original January 15 release date due to the Southern California wildfires.
