  1. In the Trump era of shotgun diplomacy we claim not getting shot in the face as a victory.

    Trump will force Ukraine into a mineral deal, Europe will foot the bill for rebuilding and defending the agreement and we’ll claim victory for avoiding tariffs that were never going to happen at the expense of slashing our foreign aid budget to buy more arms from the US.

  4. Temporarily stopping a baby from crying is not news, in this context it is not even an achievement.

  5. Starmer hasn’t won anyone over, let alone his own constituents. This is basic diplomacy, it’s not a “Starmer and Trump are best friends now” situation.
