Blasts at M23 rally in Congo: 11 killed, 65 wounded • FRANCE 24 English

The two explosions in Bukavu, eastern Congo, occurred just after a meeting held by the Alliance Flueve Congo, a rebel group that includes M23 fighters. At least 11 people were killed and 65 were injured. France24 Senior Reporter Catherine Norris Trent reports from Kinshasa.

  4. Is this journalist in Bukavu???
    The airport in Bukavu and Goma was not destroyed. In Bukavu the government forces just walked away without a fight, no single damage at the airport. Secondly, the government of Kinshasa had previously warned people not to attend Nanga's rally and warned that whoever attends will pay collateral damage…this is well documented even on social Media.
    Thirdly, the people were not "ordered" to attend as the journalist says. Do your research before you report.

    The ones who have comnitted this cowardly act are the ones who are destroying DRC. No army that loves its people commits such an act that only kills innocent people.

He used to massacre people in cold blood and come the next to feel sorry for the people indicating that Obote's army was ruthless. CONGO PEOPLE DONT GET DECEIVED ITS THOSE M23 KILLING YOU, IT IS NOT THE GOVERNMENT IN KINSHASHA DOING THAT.. THOSE ARE THE SAME TACTICS USED BY KAGAME AND MUSEVENI.

  14. Here is the irony. Kagame and M23 claim to be fighting to protect Congolese Tutsi but since they began their offensive they have displaced millions of people, including Tutsi from their homes, created the biggest humanitarian crisis in recent history, plundered the DRC's mineral resources and blocked acces to humanitarian aid by thier invasion of Goma. All of this has resulted in the deaths of millions, both Hutu and Tutsi in Congo. In other words if indeed the government of the DRC is oppressing its people, Kagame and M23 have made things worse.

  15. Why these fake journalists can't report that threat of attacking the rally attendees a day before? This a all about bias around what is happening in this mess. UN forces is now siding with mercenaries, non regulated forces, UN sanctioned forces like fdlr and so on.
