AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Denmark man has died after an early Sunday morning crash in Horry County, according to the coroner’s office.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified 31-year-old Darius Holmes as the only person in the car at the time of the crash.
Sgt. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said troopers were called just after 2:08 a.m. to Highway 31 near Highway 707 for a single-car crash.
Tidwell said the car was heading south on Highway 31 when it ran off the road to the left, hit a concrete barrier, went into the median, hit an embankment, and flipped over.
Holmes died from his injuries at a hospital.
SCHP is investigating the crash.
