  1. Step 1: buy a small part of Rwanda

Step 2: send migrants to a UK processing facility…which happens to be entirely encircled by Rwanda. Transfer was entirely within the UK by law…

Step 3: your application will take 10-20 years. Please feel free to visit Rwanda while you wait.

  2. Does anyone actually care about the constant updates on numbers? It should be no surprise to people they increase when the weather is better.

Yes something should be done to drastically reduce it but constant outrage about daily numbers is really tedious

  3. We could stop the vast majority of the boats tomorrow by re-opening offshore processing of asylum claims.

But its not the boats people want to stop. Its anyone that is not British coming to Britain.

Such people are never going to be happy with any type of immigration/asylum process as they think they are the only ones that should be in the UK.

  4. The small boats are such a red herring. They are nothing compared to the 2.5 millionish immigrants imported in the past 3 years. Mostly from Nigeria, India, Pakistan etc etc

  5. Every person I know (I’m old, so I know a lot of people) has no problem with legal immigration.

Illegal however, is exactly that, against the law of the land.

Like I said, I’m old, so I don’t understand the nuances of people who promote illegal activities, in my day, if you did something illegal, you were a criminal.

I guess I view England as my home, and I wouldn’t want criminals in my spare room.

    Would you?

  6. It’s like they want to hand Reform an easy win in the next election.

  7. That’s a lot of hotel rooms, legal aid, mobile phones, NHS appointments, dentist appointments etc etc etc…

  8. We had 300 a year in 2018 before the Tories messed up the Home Office, immigration, asylum routes and Brexit kicked in.

Open safe legal routes, re-fund the services that deal with immigration properly, set up processing in Calais like France offered us. This is a Tory created problem that going to cost a good chunk of cash to fix but needs fixing.

  9. I’m sure we have a submarine fleet. Never around when we need them.

  10. Oo oo, I can cherry-pick data to make bait headlines with an agenda, too!

**The official numbers are in. Small boat arrivals over a 9 day period in February: 0 people, 0 boats**

It’s so obvious what you’re trying to do, leaving out the days with 0 crossings to make it look like more come over on average than they actually do

  11. Blue passports, pints of wine and taking back control of our border. These numbers are excellent news well done Keir and his policies .

  12. That is like 60 people per boats. Those are big boats.

  13. So nothing like the figures being touted by right wing media and followers then. What a surprise.

  14. I constantly get downvoted for saying the small boats are allowed to arrive by design. There’s far too much money to be made by the powers that be by manipulating the whole situation for personal gain.

  15. People on small boats are a fraction compared to legal migration but easier to villify

  16. Anybody else just not that bothered by people crossing on boats
