We moved next-door to this scumbag last March. He's constantly throwing house hold items outside the front of the property. This lot has been dumped here since December last year. The back gardens no better.

Report it as fly tipping. Council will be round sharpish in my experience.
Offer to help, we’ve no idea I what they might be going through and they may find the offer of help a bridge to be better neighbours.
Report it to your council. Dumping for like a week while you get the sofa picked up and moved out is fine in my opinion but they have left stuff out for so long it’s just become a tip
Nightmare… i do the same but I get rid of it I hate clutter. Had a few bits outside the home for the last week got shot of it yesterday.. do this every year around this time really its time to get the garden ready for summer… that’s just pure fuckin lazy tho ring the council and report it mention rats etc get environmental and fly tipping involved
You live next door to these people and having a war with your neighbors is very stressful and will totally take over your life. My advice ask them politely if they need help in disposing of the rubbish, perhaps they are overwhelmed with the problem
Nothing quite like that. Our neighbour does have a bunch of broken-down cars out front, but he’s a lovely old guy who has been nothing but friendly to us since we moved in. I think it has annoyed some of our other neighbours a bit, but I think they’re overreacting a bit.
I think he used to tinker with them at some point in the past, but unfortunately since his bad health has caught up with him in recent years, he doesn’t anymore. Apparently he likes to build model trains as well.
And I thought our Wheelie bins were small in newport
I do, I used to report it and nothing really happened. Other than they found it I was reporting it. Which worsened the relationship.
I then offered to help and found out they were going through a multiple hardships. I was able to help keep it clean and get them setup with professional help. Which in returned kept it clean.
How do people develop into people that think this is ok?
i feel bad if i drop a can and have to go get it back xD i dont litter anywhere, though it is tempting since no fking bins in most places.
“keep wales tidy” my motto when im out and about in the country.
Perchance do you live within Gwent?
Yep. Our neighbour currently had their concrete yard-en stacked 7 foot high with old mattresses, boxes, bits of broken furniture, etc. Dog poo everywhere. What concerns me is that they smoke and throw their cig butts, only takes a few warm weeks and that stack is going up in flames, which will undoubtedly spread to neighbouring gardens via the wooden fences. It’s terraced housing so it’s a real hazard.
Our neighbours are the living embodiment of an anti-social behaviour order. Everyone surrounding them has complained to everyone we can think of because they’re so difficult to live by. I have a fairly tolerant live and let live policy in life but they take the piss. Someone advised me that it’s easier to get something done if you can prove there is some kind of infestation (like rats), then report it to environmental health.
yeh I have a neighbour similar mines a woman though but in wales
Should be fined if you leave your house or property looking like this.
Ever time they go out drag it all and stack it in front of the door
Sadly it’s all over the country I have one each side of me no pride in their home or surroundings
I did. I sold up and moved. Best decision ever.
Shameful. Some people have no pride.
Unfortunately, yes. Granted not at the front of the house, but down the side, it’s packed full of junk, broken furniture and general shite. Thankfully hasn’t quite reached the point it is visible over the fence. It’s like landfill, and a total fire risk.
They have also stolen an extra black bin and they regularly overfill both by general waste collection day. They have recently acquired an extra recycling trolley box set, too.
There’s literally two of them in that house. How they have/still accumulate so much crap is beyond me.
Both work and drive too, so not sure why they’ve not bothered hiring a skip or taken it to the tip.
TL:DR yes, you have my full sympathy.
Edit: just to add, they don’t pick the dog crap up out of the back garden either so it constantly stinks.
I once witnessed the bloke take a mower to the lawn, without attempting to pick any of the many piles of crap up. Utterly vile.
Yes, mine just moved out. Dirtiest family I have ever seen.
Threw rubbish out of windows, children pissing out of the window, and leaving the curbside like this photo.
Hopefully the new neighbours are better
Ah yes, the Mancs that moved in.
oh i want that gaming chair!!
Yes and far worse.
They have about an acre behind the house which is full of rubbish including scrapped boats and caravan and the front is full of junked car parts.
In my front area currently looks like the picture above, but I’m clearing out to the recycling centre and sorting out the house in steps
Top tip for neighbours like this. Double down. Be worse than them in whatever way you see morally fit. Make THEM want to move. But most importantly, find another neighbour/s to join your forces! They’ll be gone by summer !!
Yes, in Abertillery. They moved in a year and 3 months ago and since then the garden has become a dumping ground and now their front yard is getting just as bad.
They finally got a bin from the council and I thought they’d finally got their act together but no, they use the bin as a replacement for their back gate which rotted away 🤦♂️
It’s super frustrating as they just don’t seem to care.
Thankfully no – not these days
No and I feel very sorry for those who do. I think I’d end up cleaning it up for them so I don’t wouldn’t have to see it
I’m really sorry for you. I haven’t found a cure for a bad neighbour yet.
The artificial hanging flower basket would have been my first clue 😩
