Can’t wait for Barry, 63 who never served in the armed forces to say this is what they should bring to the UK for all young men
So much for equality.
That 17ish million conscripts. You might say 7 million able bodied capable fighters. That’s much more than Russia.
Probably a good idea few weeks basic and refresher courses throughout the year, really no different than the TA in the UK
Well 6 million civilians were killed in Poland in WW2, that’s 20% of the population. And Warsaw was completely destroyed and had to be rebuilt from scratch.
I don’t blame the Poles for investing in defence.
Military slavery for the poor and young. Hopefully it’s met with mass absolutist refusal and riots if needed.
Poland is becoming a super power really. We could learn a lot from them.

Not the first European country to have similar in place. European countries that have conscription: [Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey](https://europerevealed.com/what-countries-still-have-mandatory-conscription-for-military-service/)
Before anyone says anything: I know Cyprus isn’t even in Europe; Russia, and Turkey are mostly not European either.
I think it’s a good idea. Would encourage it in the UK but I sadly don’t see it happening
