I know that the twats at belfast telegraph are trying to drive traffic to their pages by obscuring the name of the place to further down the article, but it still pisses me off.
You just know that at some point when they were training their new staff that they were instructed something like “yeah, dont mention the name of the place, remove it and put ‘popular’ instead.”
what annoys me is that they think us viewers are just idiotic NPCs who are only worth clicks to them.
And the fact that even if the business isnt popular and is clearly having to close, the pricks still refer to it as ‘Popular’. I also hate when the description or tooltip drags it out even further like ‘The armagh cafe took to social media’ instead of just saying the name of the cafe in armagh.
Does click bait annoy anyone else? Only everyone alive.
What annoys me more about this is how they don’t say this is an all paid advertising. I mean I don’t imagine the Bel Tel posts all these rave reviews for free.
thought you meant the closing down of businesses in the local community and the general erosion and remodelling of society as we know it right in front of our peepers.
Unpopular headline to make reappearance
I love that you made us click in here to see what your point was.
Naaa, yer right, no one has time for this shite in such a fast paced World. Information at our finger tips instantly, yet it’s buried in a bag of shite article. We want information not now, right now. No time for drivel or shite, get to the point.
I sound like such an oul moan tonight
Seems to be a thing with most news sites and you have to read half the article to find out which restaurant closed
My favourite ones are the articles that click bait a potentialy fatal recall of a food product.
Yes, crap Photoshop upsets me greatly. No excuse for posting something this poorly done
I go out of my way to comment on these social media posts giving away whatever element they withheld. I absolutely loathe this form of journalism.
“Bring up ChatGPT”
They seem to find the word popular quite…. Popular
Maybe we should chip in and buy the BT a full version of MS word with thesaurus plugin
Newspapers are dying. They sold their websites to that “reach media” shite, to make a few quid. And their websites are now unusable as a result. Fucking adverts in between every paragraph of text. Fuck right off.
100% like it’s our fault they failed in their business
