The poster looks like a bot, a couple of r/AskReddit bollocks posts followed by this only on their profile, which also is a topic largely irrelevant for today’s society when shops open for longer into the evenings, especially supermarkets.

It was like this in banking. No one could get to the branches and everyone complained. So we moved all the services online and on the phone. Then really no one went into branches anymore. So we closed the branches. And everyone complained that it killed the high street. SMH
Cherish it while you have it. You can meet up with your mates after work (if they have the same schedule). It’s not like that for everyone.

Do you literally never have a day off?
The bank and the doctors offices is where it get me. I can go to a different shop but I have to take time off work if I need to go to the bank or to the doctors.
Even though this is just another bot trying to divide society. The actual answer is, why is your office open 9-5 as well, i work in a shop i can never contact your office. The entire argument ia bullshit, we get time off. You can send emails, shop online etc..
Once upon a time we didn’t need 2 working people in a household to live comfortably. One could work whilst the other stayed home and went to the shops during the day.
I wish the government would implement 4 day working weeks as the default. Aside from all the studies telling us how much better most people and businesses find it, we’d be freeing up each worker to make use of businesses during the normal working week for at least a day. In a 2 person household, this would free up 2 days a week in which to shop, run errands etc.
Seems like a no-brainer to me!
Because the people working in the shop also work nine to five duh

Also, shops having their staff take lunch breaks between 12-2 when everyone else is on lunch and wants to go to the shops 😄

The fact banks open after 8am and close by 5pm to this day still infuriates me.

Please not again with this!! The problem is clearly offices like yours only opening 9-5. Why can’t you work till 10pm?? Selfish.

It’s so infuriating that Post Offices do this, and they shut by lunchtime on Saturday and closed completely on Sundays. And they wonder why fewer and fewer people use them.
