Inflation in Moldova rose to 8.6% in February compared to 4.3% in the same period last year, the statistics bureau said on Monday.
Price growth dropped from 9.12% in January when the rise was caused by hiked tariffs for power and heating following suspension of Russian gas supplies to the country, the bureau added.
Moldova’s central bank expects 2025 inflation to reach 7.3%.
