The President of the General Libyan Union of Chambers of Commerce, Mohamed Al-Raied, met the Ambassador of Malta, Charles Saliba, at the Union’s Tripoli headquarters yesterday.
The meeting was a preparatory meeting within the framework of preparing for the establishment of the Second Libyan European Forum for Oil, Gas and Energy to be held from 15 to 16 May 2025 in Malta.
The meeting discussed the steps to prepare for the Forum, which will be held under the auspices of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), the General Libyan Union of Chambers and the Libyan French Chamber of Commerce.
The organisers reported that many companies, institutions and experts in the oil, gas and energy sectors will be participating alongside national and international companies involved in supporting services related to technical and logistical services of the sectors.
Discussion topics
Topics to be discussed at the event will include projects proposed by the NOC to rapidly develop its oil sector and meet its needs and enhance its capabilities and technical support given its increasing demand for energy in all its forms.
The forum will provide the opportunity to exchange expertise, discuss development and investment projects, as well as B2B meetings.
