Hmmm… No. And neither of those pictures of Helen Mirren are on her Wikipedia page at the moment (plus, she is still alive…)
It’s not just Wiki, every media outlet used old pictures of Gene Hackman because nobody would have recognised him from the last know picture taken of him.
I think it’s sensible. If they are alive you are better off seeing them as they are. After they die we are better off seeing them in their prime. No?
You just gave me a fright!
Helen Mirren is very much living. What the hell is wrong with you people?
Better than posting their current picture at that point
okay but if you were the person would you want them to use an up to date picture or a picture of the prime of your life.
While someone is still alive, they use a recent image of them. When someone is dead, they’ll use a recognisable image from their lifetime.
She didnt die she regenerated, that a recent pic.
Well, it’s better than seeing a photo of them in their coffin. Some people do that, I’ve seen them, it’s not a pretty sight
Why wouldn’t you? People probably should be remembered for what they were in their prime
Do you want to be remembered as you were or how you went out. Try thinking like you take a picture before going out instead of the drunken shambles with kebab sauce down your front at the end of the night
I mean it usually makes sense. When someone is active you have a representative lead photo of what they look like now. But then when someone ceases to be *active* you have a photo that is representative of there whole career, which will often be at the peak of their career rather than late in their life.
How about when they put a white face on a historically black figure??? I HATE that even moor

Legend has it that everyone is 33 years old in heaven
Both are beautiful.
Don’t tempt fate with Dame Helen.
Why not? While you’re alive it needs to be accurate to your age. Once you’re dead it might as well show you at your peak.
