How on earth is that going to cost £140 million though?
Be interesting to see how they make that Platform 0 building work considering all the traction power cabling for Canton MPTSS runs through that area, which includes the alternative supplies for South Wales Metro and the traction supplies for Canton Depot.
Eastern Subway plan lacks ambition though. Problem at Cardiff has always been that the platforms were all extended west, so the stairwells aren’t central to the trains. I have always advocated for a Reading style bridge from the wood street car park over to where Cardiff panel used to be.
I wish they’d spend some of that 140mil on a connection to the airport. Might help turn it’s fortunes around.
I think it looks really good, they’ve been meaning to renovate the station for donkeys. This country just likes a moan

Where will you park and drop off? Removing the whole car park round back for the Metro and walkways seems silly.
