    Speaking to The Telegraph, Margus Tsahkna said Tallinn was ready to play an “active role” in [the so-called coalition of the willing](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/03/09/pat-mcfadden-senior-minister-coalition-willing-volunteers/), a UK-led initiative to give Ukraine security guarantees after a ceasefire.

  2. For estonia its an existential criris as they have a population of what ? around 1.2 million? And they directly border Russia. If something happens, ofc help would arrive courtesy of NATO but even by that time the devastation would be immense. European leaders right now have a lot of big decisions to make.Individual countries will have to think about their positions. Now the question they have to ask themselves..whether an Italian or a spaniard would give up their lives for an estonian or a latvian if sh*t hits the fan.

  4. When people talk about a united Europe, I always wonder if people from the western part would be ok with dying for the eastern part. I’m an American, so I don’t know too much about how Europeans feel about each other, but I’d have to guess that most western nations within the continent would face resistance if they tried to draft their populations for a war in the east
