DR Congo conflict: How is Burundi impacted by the escalating tensions? • FRANCE 24 English

Despite Kinshasa’s refusal to engage in talks with the Rwanda-backed M23 rebels, who have been capturing key cities in eastern DR Congo, Angola announced on Tuesday its intention to attempt mediation once again. Over 7,000 people have died in the M23 offensive this year, with neighboring countries, including Burundi, suffering from the fallout. Juliette Montilly has the details.

Burundi and congo have all vowed to cause regime change in Rwanda and Burundi forces in congo are working alongside fdlr genocidiers whilst committing heinous crimes against Congolese Tutsis and whoever doesn't buy into their genocidal ideology against Tutsis. Burundi should withdraw her soldiers before it's too late otherwise after Uvira, M23 movement will not have any other choice but to confront where the problem originates and that's Burundi. Ethnic and politics of identity practised by Burundi authorities have no place in our region.
