It’s only right that the careers advisers show them their future options.
Three squares meals and a bed, can’t complain.
Back in my day we worked a seven hour shift darn pit and then did another seven hour shift at the ball crushing factory. Life were simpler
To be fair, the average IQ in a prison would increase if primary aged kids were there.
I know a teacher or two who wouldn’t mind. Or 3. Ok maybe a fair few
Tbh, it’s not the students that I’m tired of.
When I was an apprentice in the 70’s, I was taken to a prison to inspect the goods that my employer bought from them. Seeing the old lags in the workshop scared 18 year old me to death. I think it’s a good idea to show young people the inside of a prison so there’s no doubt as to how God awful it is on the inside.
I live near this place, it’s actually pretty good!
I’ve been, the tour is actually pretty good and a lot of the guides are ex staff so actually a brilliant careers trip for older kids interested in jobs as a prison guard, etc
TBH a lot of people I went to school with ended up in the Nick so may as well get to know the layout early
Mind you a few of them already knew it from visiting day when their parent/s were in
