Seriously what are we doing here? We’re all getting letters telling us our bills are going up 50% next month and there’s absolutely no sign of any change: Thames bosses still have their jobs (and bonuses!) despite dumping raw sewage into our rivers for 300,000 hours last year. At this point it seems the only thing that’s going to change anything is if we all stop paying our bills.
More sewage discharge = more money for Thames Water
They’ve got some bloody nerve charging me £300 for waste water management.
That’s unacceptable. Give them three billion pounds as punishment.
Anyone watch the absolute abortion of a programme on the BBC last night? appalling whitewashing of this debacle. All “front line workers are having a really tough time” and no “fat cat bosses are on zoom calls from the maldives”
Man this is absolutely outrageous
Write to your local MP’s and express the disgusting behaviour of this company and the courts that granted them what will end up being more public debt and it will cost them your vote.
100 people write, a small response. A thousand of you per area will make this a national debate and put the fear into them.
Get writting
What have them been doing with the money all these years?
I wonder if nationalisation would help?
They just need a few extra million, trust me guys
For anyone else who wants to rant at Thames water or Ofwat execs without affecting customer service people who aren’t responsible. Here’s a list of emails for the board/execs:
I wish we could fine them to oblivion, make em go bankrupt and renationalise…..
Minimal water damage
I’m part of the idiots paying £292.5m interest for the £3bn loan.
I’m paying Thames water to pollute our lovely environment with human faeces and wee. I feel like a bloody criminal paying a criminal mafia organisation just to have clean water. Shameful!
Feels like I’m paying £££ for a water company to drop turds in my front garden.
Another British scam!
We are getting scammed every year and nobody is doing anything about it.
Can someone explain what this means?
Like everyone else our bill is going up massively, but I don’t know anything about water treatment
We moved because of our proximity to the Thames. It’s become a death sewer. The poisons flowing through that river will never be fixed in our lifetimes. Thames Water Executives should barred from wearing clothes in public so the shame seeps in from their skin.
‘Thames Water’s sewage treatment works were responsible for almost 90% of the 298,081 hours of raw sewage it released into rivers in 2024, the data shows.‘
