You think so? I mean yeah things like clean running water, electricity & food sure do make your day better.
People who are more satisfied say they are more satisfied
Sure it’s obvious but it’s nice to have significant proof. Good job
People who live in Death Valley are dryer than those in the Atlantic.
Nice ! Sometimes i wanna kill myself but it might get better if i go live in Norway !!!!
This just in: people who have the stuff they need are more satisfied with life!
Money can’t buy happiness. But it can but a jet ski. Have you ever seen anyone sad on a jet ski?
A study found ot that people with a good nigh sleep feel more rested the next day
And in other news, people from shit countries say that their lives are shit.
It’s interesting that so many people in the comments find this so obvious. There’s a whole strand of literature in economics looking at how robust this correlation really is and whether/when it implies causality. The source of the chart has a good (albeit somewhat dated) overview of that literature here: https://ourworldindata.org/happiness-and-life-satisfaction#the-link-between-happiness-and-income
No shit?
Next up:
People eating ice cream while questioned are more likely to report being happy.
This just in: people who aren’t starving on a daily basis tend to be happier. Who knew!?
The headline is absolutely pointless.
Curious to see Mozambique and Hong Kong on the same level of life satisfaction though.
People who live in the heat feel hotter than people who live in the cold
Now do the graph with only OECD countries. Last I saw, national wealth meant basically nothing once you’re a “first world country”, and what matters after that is the inequality within the country, which is why Finland is high here and the US isn’t shown.
But money doesn’t make you happy.
God is real.
Every religions believe is absolutely based in reality and not man made bull shit.
Violence never solves anything.
I’d imagine there is a lot more participation from residents in wealthier countries. I have a hard time imagining many people living in the “poor” villages near me being asked about this or filling out life satisfaction quizzes online. They sure are smiling, laughing, helping each other out, and spending tons of time together though.

Money ≠ happiness?
Money ∝ happiness.
