Is the New York subway less critical to the city than the Underground is for London? I can’t think why else there would be much difference. Eventually the tube was going to recover because people aren’t sitting around inside all day and are going back into the office, at that point the tube is going to be used.
I assume New York isn’t any different in terms of working from home, tourists visiting or people wanting to socialise.
