Hello, hope it’s OK to post a link to this one on here — I’ve been investigating “misconnections” and literally wading through human excrement to bring this one, which took weeks of reporting. It’s the first time flats that are wrongly plumbed into London’s sewer system have been named on this scale and I think it’s a really important scandal, perhaps even more damaging than the sewage releases from treatment plants during storms.
This seems like a good time to promoted Surfers Against Sewage and the good work they do.

They also produce an excellent free app [Safer Seas App](https://www.sas.org.uk/updates/real-time-water-quality-app-makes-our-seas-a-safer-place/)which gives live updates of sewage discharges so that UK water users can make better informed decisions to stay safe and healthy.

Is this why the laws about sewage dumping cropped up a little while back?
