So odd to see so many people proud to be an American. Even the Harris voters are more positive. I don’t get it.
This is a great graph as long as you’re not colorblind
Wet interesting that republicans are so overwhelmingly “proud”. I wonder about the semantics and what that means to the self identified republicans.
Essentially: Proud (Y) = f [Voted for Trump] – .5[Voted for Harris]
You can love your country without feeling pride or being happy about the direction it’s going.
Patriotism isn’t saying you’re proud of something. False title.
Data is interesting. Presentation is not beautiful
D. Grateful I was born in a relatively safe and prosperous place.
So Harris voters hate America. Case in point!
Weird how Americans sew Canadian flags on their backpacks and not the other way around.
I love this country dearly, but the current state of it on BOTH political sides is shameful.
Older generations have seen war, poverty, and struggles from the past. Newer generations have no idea how good they have it compared to the past or the majority of the world. They only know what the media or their influences tell them and how to feel.
Only proud when an European starts talking trash
Isn’t pride a sin in Christianity?
What the fuck does this question even mean?
I’d be curious to see what the French one looks like, I bet not even 10% of people would consider themselves patriotic
“patriotism” isn’t usually patriotism
Subjective data is so annoying!
the two social groups I’ve been around that wear flags and celebrate the US — republicans and immigrants.
i’ve had “we love America” translated back to me in at least 3 languages when joining friends for some family dinner event.
It’s so dumb to be “proud” of something you had (have) zero control over. It’d like being “proud” you were born with opposable thumbs.
What does being a patriot even mean? Because by the looks of it patriots hate half the population, half the government, the environment, their neighbours, their food is trash or adopted, and they barely have any history, so what exactly are they proud of??
Fuck yes. America has been the best my whole life. Doesn’t matter who the president is.
Whoa, I didn’t know people were so proud of what we have become. Yea we’re done.
The highest being 29 is insane
Well, the dark green should be around 50% by the end of Summer ….
Most likely to be a proud American:
Wealthy southern white men.
Sigh.
The least patriotic are the proudest ones???
Patriotism is essentially the same ideology as white pride. You believe you are somehow better than others simply because of where you were born. You had zero to do with the decision, you aren’t oppressed because of that characteristic, you didn’t overcome adversity, you just happened to be born within imaginary lines drawn on a map. It is nothing more than mindless obedience to a destructive and controlling ideology.
Such a funny display of how little Reddit commenters represent average Americans when the data shows 70% of people are proud to be an American but every single comment is like “who would ever say they’re proud to be an American??”
Let’s ask this same questions whenever we have a democratic president… Result will be different..
And at what % came from the same IP addresses?
Surprised to see that the South is the least proud.
Voted for Harris the lowest % of proud to be an American LOL

Whether or not you’re “proud to be an American” has nothing to do with patriotism.
