According to the organizers, it is the only pan-European and international conference with a program entirely dedicated to booksellers.

There will be representatives from 30 countries, from Europe, Canada, Australia, Egypt and elsewhere, for event organised by the European and International Booksellers Federation (EIBF), as part of its mission to support and strengthen the bookselling sector worldwide.

“We are especially proud to bring RISE to the cultural city of Riga this year, as 2025 marks the celebration of the 500 th anniversary of the first Latvian book. Not only is Riga a buzzling city with a strong literary heritage, but Latvia is also home to a large number of passionate booksellers who, through Latvijas Grāmattirgotāju asociācija (the Latvian Booksellers Association), have been longstanding members of the European and International Booksellers Federation (EIBF) and the RISE Network,” said the organizers.
