The exercise is being attended by soldiers from the NATO Enhanced Presence Battlegroups deployed in Estonia and Lithuania, the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia, and the Engineer Company of the Combat Support Battalion of the Land Forces Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, and the 3rd Infantry Battalion.

“Operating in a multinational environment, the exercise participants will improve their mutual cooperation in the execution of joint tasks, strengthening the capabilities of light combat engineers and the cooperation of NATO engineer subunits in the Baltic region,” said a release from the Latvian armed forces.

The multinational brigade engineer exercise is now in its eighth year, providing units with an opportunity to share knowledge and better understand the capabilities of allied forces.

During the military exercises, temporary traffic disruptions are possible on public roads in the vicinity of the Ādaži military training ground. The National Armed Forces calls on residents to be understanding of the military exercises taking place.
