The Trump administration is seeking full dismantlement of Iranian nuclear program in a way that the entire world can see, White House National Security Advisor Michael Waltz told CBS News on Sunday. His comments came in contrast to the much more conciliatory tone of Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, who spoke of the US president’s intention to resolve Iran’s nuclear dispute diplomatically.

  2. Good luck with that. Every nation is pretty aware of what can happen when you give up your nukes. Russia would not be in Ukraine right now if they had kept theirs.

  4. Isn’t Iran a Russian ally? How the US is going to denuclearize Iran? I don’t think Israel ( with US) would achieve it without being destroyed

  6. What we have seen is that if you get nukes, you’ll be left alone. If you dont have nukes, or are silly enough to trust security guarantees and give up your nukes, you are liable to get invaded by people with nukes.

    If I were Iran, Poland, Ukraine, even Canada & Greenland, I’d be trying to get nukes. as quickly as possible.

  9. I don’t see how this is realistic, especially post Israeli strikes on Iranian air defense and industrial sites? Israel showed that at least now it can essentially suppress and degrade the Iranian air defense network quite easily, and that Iran basically can’t stop it. I can’t see them giving up nukes, as this basically leaves them with 0 deterrence against Israel
