Industrial production in Lithuania rose by 8.3% year-on-year in February 2025, easing from an upwardly revised and six-month high of 8.9% increase in the previous month.
This marked the eight consecutive month of growth in industrial activity albeit at a softer pace, as the output slowed sharply for mining and quarrying (2.4% vs 53.6% in January) and manufacturing (7.3% vs 10.3%).
On the other hand, production rebounded significantly for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (22.5% vs -7.6%), while it declined at a lesser extent for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services (-0.2% vs -2.6%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity dropped by 1.5% in February, reversing from a downwardly revised 4.4% gain in the preceding period.
