1. I think tbf, it is not really a serious proposal. It is just a sales pitch to Trump, trying to keep America engaged in the Ukraine war by offering to carry more of the load. The problem is they still rely on the US to backstop it, none of these plans involve taking on Russia without American backing.

   Please, Mr Trump sir, if we risk our troops and pay for the cost will you still cover us with your nuclear umbrella. Unfortunately not being on the hook for WW3 is specifically the one thing Trump is actively trying to dodge, so its all nonsense.
