The growing interest of the Croatian and Slovenian tourist market in well-known and lesser-known Greek destinations was recorded during a special event organized on March 18 in Zagreb, Croatia, by the GNTO Serbia Service in cooperation with the local ISD Office of Greece.

The event was attended by representatives of tourist agencies from the Croatian and Slovenian markets, as well as journalists from the tourism reportage from Croatia. The Ambassador of Greece to Zagreb, Athanasios Paresoglou, delivered a welcome address, while the coordination was carried out by the Head of the ISD Office in the Croatian capital, Michalis Harokopos.

The Head of the Greek National Tourist Organization (GNTO) Serbia Service, Giorgos Kakoutis, referred to the strategic goals of the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourist Organization (GNTO) for the period 2025-2028, emphasizing the promotion of sustainable development and the highlighting of the multidisciplinary nature of the Greek tourist product. At the same time, he presented the main tourist products offered by each region of the country, while making special reference to the special tourist infrastructure facilities they have (conference centers, ski resorts, etc.).

The event concluded with a networking lunch for the guests, with the aim of exchanging views and informing them about market trends in 2025.

Polish t.os in Athens

In addition, from March 9 to 11, representatives of nine offices of the broad category of Travel Management Companies (airline and hotel bookers) from Poland, as well as an executive of the airline Sky Express, visited Athens, as part of a familiarization trip (fam trip) organized by the Polish National Tourism Organization in collaboration with the company.

The goal of the fam trip was to introduce professionals from the Polish tourism market to the Greek capital as a vibrant metropolis with alternating locations and landscapes, combined with its centuries-old history and ancient monuments, which is an ideal destination for city break trips.

The travel agencies represented on the trip show the highest performance in selling the destination, while Sky Express connects Warsaw with Athens daily.

Finally, it is noted that in recent years Greece has been the third most popular destination for Poles for their trips abroad.
