Video from an eyewitness shows the moment a #plane crashed during the #WestCoastAirShow2025 on Saturday in #Saldanha, #SouthAfrica.

An Impala Mark 1 #aircraft, piloted by South African pilot James O’Connell, was performing a routine display before nose diving into the ground in a massive fireball. O’Connell died in the crash.

The plane appeared stable for most of the performance, according to the organiser. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and all spectators escaped unharmed, the statement said.

  1. Crazy that one can put videos of someone literally getting 'unalived' live in youtube these days….
    and its not even the first time I've seen people posting videos like these on youtube where people are getting 'oofed' in the past few weeks, wow.
