  1. You know enforcement is basically just bad French right Barry?

  2. “Handhabung” in German. Less brutish than English tbh

  3. Enforcement is a French word. What was the fake language again?

  4. It’s ‘Håndhævning’ in Danish… It’s just you Anglos that have gobbled too much French cock and now use their words instead of Germanic ones.

  5. Håndhævelse in Danish, so Barry is the odd one out of the Germanics

  6. Your enforcers don’t have hands?

Is this some strange British island mutation?

  7. So police brutality in Sweden is just “Handhavandefel”?

  8. I downvoted then I saw how op got destroyed by comment section now i just want to make more people see this

  9. I like to make fun of Dutch as much as the next guy, but it needs to be somewhat funny and not just one word being different.

  10. “Behaving” is still a word in English, just saying.

  11. This thread brings up the elephant in the room regarding the English language: French influence.

Anyone else considering fully renouncing English and refusing to speak it because of this influence?

Time to become a monolingual speaker of Welsh.

  12. The dutch verb *handhaven* is a calque from french *maintenir*, where the english word *maintain* comes from. Main = hand, tenir = to have. Both languages took the word from french, the dutch just had the balls to directly translate it

  13. Jesus, are you inbred islanders going to just go through every random word with this same ‘joke’? Because it wears a little thin after the 300th time.

I _know_ you have better material over there, Barry. This is simply a bit pathetic.

  14. Håndhævelse in Danish.

Closest thing in Greenlandic would be malittarisassanik atuutsitsinissaq.

  15. Those are fake cops. Unarmed civil servants that write parking tickets and are often used for the most shitty jobs and get to deal with the less fun part of civilization, without the tools that police have.

  16. Why do Barry’s think their language doesn’t sound squeaky and funny.

“I’m going doing boing being too”

How is this more real than Dutch?

  17. Now you’re basically making fun of the whole Germanic language family that you are part of lol.

You’re the odd one with your fake French words …
