The current account gap in Croatia widened to EUR 1571 million in the fourth quarter 2024 from EUR 1051 million in the same period of the previous year.
The goods deficit rose to EUR 4212 million from EUR 3806 million in Q4 2023 and the services surplus narrowed to EUR 1676 million from EUR 1755 million.
Also, the secondary income surplus fell to EUR 406 million from EUR 638 million while the primary income surplus went up to EUR 559 million from EUR 363 million.
Considering full 2024, the current account posted a EUR 1,059 million deficit, switching from a EUR 320 million surplus in 2024.
