LUKE CORREIA has scored a second goal since his transfer from Ac Port of Spain to a Croatian Club. The Trinidad and Tobago youth footballer Correia, recently took a significant step forward in his career when signing with NK Hašk, a club competing in Croatia’s Druga NL, the country’s third tier.

The Druga NL consists of semi-professional and amateur clubs. However, teams from this division can be promoted to the Prva NL Second division (second tier), which is a semi-professional level, if they meet licensing and performance requirements.

Correia’s move to Croatia follows an outstanding high school career at Fatima College, where he was instrumental in the team’s recent dominance in the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL). He helped secure multiple championships, including back-to-back SSFL titles in 2023 and 2024, scoring 11 goals in the 2024 season.

On March 30, this year, Correia starred in NK Hašk’s dominant win over HNŠK Moslavina, scoring once and providing two assists to lift his team to the top of the table.

More recently, the influential midfielder netted his second goal of the season and delivered two crucial assists, driving NK Hašk closer to the league title.

“It was a great team effort, and I’m happy to contribute with a goal and two assists,” said Correia. “We’re focused on keeping this momentum going as we aim to stay at the top.”

Head coach Anthony Cristante praised Correia’s growing influence in midfield: “In our last match, we hosted Moslavina at home and came out with a 5-1 win. Luke played again as a #8 and, for the second game in a row, has scored a goal. Luke has added reliability in midfield with his passing game and his ability to win the ball back and cover ground very quickly. We are looking forward to our next game against Jarun.”
