Here’s a version of the Ambush in Kursk I compiled to try and give a slightly more in-depth cinematic account.
Jesus christ. War is fucking terrifying. I know, understatement of the year. But walking through a forest just waiting for someone to open up on you is just crazy to me. It’s a dumb cliche, but these guys have balls of steel. I don’t know how else to put it.

Oh, I remember when OOP posted this a little bit ago. He said he got shot in the leg but he’s fine, still kicking ass out there

hell, if that bullet went a little more straight and below, it could have shattered his knee. Disability for life there

Guy is crazy lucky in so many ways… that dude was 10yds in front of him and somehow only managed to hit him in the knee and a ricochet off his helmet. 10yds in front of me that guy would have been a meat sack…
