After looking online for some version of Yelp for VC funds / VC partners, I couldn't find anything. Most funds are known for their prestige (a16z, Sequoia, etc.), but I consistently hear mixed reviews on the actual partners themselves. Instead of creating a poll (polls aren't fun), I decided to create a website with a list of notable VC partners, and sent it out to founders to have them vote on the size of their testicles (big or small). I figured analyzing the vote counts and big:small ratio would be a great way to gauge founder sentiment on the partner, and the overall fund itself. Assumed a universal agreement on big balls = good, small balls = bad.

I predicted the ratio of big:small was always going to be lower than 1 (most founders get rejected by VCs), but I was shocked to see Vinod Khosla had a ratio > 1. A high ratio means founders like the partner, a low ratio means founders don't like the partner. Vinod is loved amongst founders. Chamath and JCal… sorry guys.

I included multiple partners at larger funds to see if prestige would influence votes across the board, but it didn't seem to be the case. As you can see with Founders Fund, there was a large difference between Peter Thiel (.8 ratio) vs Delian Asparouhov (.2 ratio). We see something similar with a16z – Vijay Pande has a .219 ratio compared to Andreesen's .606 and Horowitz's .578.

There were a few partners/funds that aren't known outside of places on social media (they post all day), so I thought it'd be interesting to analyze correlation between number of posts and ratio of big to small. No real correlation but man some VCs post a lotttttt.

I included the raw data at the end. Includes name of the partner, name of the fund, number of posts, vote counts, and ratios.

Obviously a fair amount of ways this could be improved / remove biases, but I don't have too much time for things like this. I did this all in google sheets – enjoy!

I already know there are plenty of additional partners and funds I didn't include, this was thrown together in a couple of hours. Additionally, just want to point out there are a ton of incredible female investors out there – I kept it focused on males based on the question.
