I understand why he needs security like every celebrity. But why should the taxpayer fund it? If Beyonce can come to the UK safely without free security from the RPOs I don’t understand why Harry can’t as well. Am k really supposed to believe none of the fancy private options are enough to keep his family safe?

If he qualifies on the basis of being the monarch’s son, then Prince Andrew is also entitled to 24/7 taxpayer-funded armed security, even though he does no royal duties. The two have the same status.
Doesn’t seem right.
Just say he does win this case or however many security cases are still ongoing. Will he actually show up with his family in the UK? The whole family, not just him. Or will he just strut about in front of the cameras claiming victory? Because they can visit his family in person at any time and be under the umbrella of royal security. If he wins guaranteed protection outside the fold will he then bring the wees to see Big Ben in person? Visit a chippy? Or will there be the endless “Oh they’re in school/summer camp/swimming lessons; Meghan is busy with her podcast/honeybees; I’m surfing” reasons for why they can’t possibly set foot in the UK.
