Aye, the inverted smile. If it wasn’t for social pressures I’d be letting this door slam in your face.
i always do this face when asked a question i don’t want to answer
“I acknowledge you, fellow human. Please don’t talk to me.”
No nod?
Midwest usa has that same face!!
The slight convenience you have given me is appreciated and acknowledged but not quite enough to verbalize a ‘thank you’.
I think it was James Corden who did a bit on things that make British people British. A few things actually resonated. But when he talked about the urge to cross the street to avoid the possibility of making eye contact with another human being, I couldn’t help thinking, “I might be secretly British”.
It’s the face you give to old people when you pass them so they know you’re not a chav or anything.
Iirc that kid is the host of Copa 90 on youtube lmao
It’s a look that says “Yes, I am an honourable man. If the men came, I’d be standing side by side with you, in the resistance. For I am an honourable man. A bond has been formed here today – a bond of fellowship that no man can tear asunder. You and I, we are like brothers, even if only for this briefest of moments, and that is a thing that is not easily forgotten. Not by an honourable man such as myself.”
“nah then, nah then, how’s yer father??”
Let’s be accurate, that’s the look when they don’t say ‘thank you’
“I’m letting you through, but please don’t think I’m overly thrilled about it.”
