In just a few days, Gayle King is going to space! Our editor at large and the CBS Mornings cohost is taking off with Blue Origin next week, along with Katy Perry, Aisha Bowe, Kerianne Flynn, Amanda Nguyen, and Lauren Sánchez—the first all-women space flight. The group will stay up in space at the Karmán line (the edge of our planet’s atmosphere), about 65 miles above ground, for 11 minutes before they descend back to Earth.

Gayle describes herself as “terri-cited”—terrified and excited—for the trip. “I’m a nervous, nervous flyer under the best of circumstances,” she shares. But what does one pack for a historic trip to space? Gayle is figuring it out now—and we’ve got it on camera. Blue Origin gave everyone a small space pouch so they can bring a few special items along for the ride. Here, Gayle breaks down her packing list—including her Favorite Grandson Luca’s doll, two meaningful pieces of jewelry, and an iPod filled with music. Find out her full packing list in the video below:

Tune in to CBS Mornings next Monday, April 14, to catch their trip!
