Is Irish sport really clean right now? Or are the cheats just not getting caught? For the fourth year in a row, that’s the big question following the release of Sport Ireland’s annual anti-doping report.

Because since 2020, the last year there was a meaningful catch snared in the anti-doping net, the grand total of positive tests resulting in a sanction is this: one competitor in motorsport and one in tug of war who both got popped for cocaine. Not exactly Ben Johnson or Lance Armstrong.
