I’m a stay at home dad, there is no weekend. No Friday feeling, just the continuous march of day into night into day into night.

Very much looking forward to a pint in the local beer garden after work.
House work has gone out the window this week, it’s been hectic so that’s my after work plan! Nothing planned this weekend, maybe a food shop (I know, exciting). A lay in is on the cards tomorrow for sure! 😴
A wedding tomorrow and then a few nights away straight after, so today involves packing. I thoroughly despise packing. Looking forward to seeing my family tomorrow though!
It’s a quiet one work wise today. Well I say that. It’s bigger jobs this week, but I’d rather that than a bunch of little ones that keep coming back. I’m ina good mood because I finally got my Mini back. I’ve been driving my dad’s Qashqai for the past 2 weeks because he can’t drive it for a while but it’s boring to drive. I got back in my mini yesterday and had a grin on my face the entire 1.5 hour drive home. I’m considering upgrading the supercharger to have more engine noise for even more fun!
Took the first of my new meds last night. Woke up at 2 with nightmares, at 4 for the loo and at 6.30 with horrific cramp in both legs. Alarm screamed at me at 7.30.
Don’t know what work is happening today, but I suspect there won’t be a whole lot of it.
Park run tomorrow followed by a trip to blue water as the missus wants a nice dress for her 30th birthday next month ☺️ have a great weekend, all!
Felt good about it being Friday, treated myself to a coffee and thought “I’ll sit outside as a nice treat before work”. Instantly made to feel uncomfortable by a male (I’m a female) who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Luckily, spotted a guy from my work across the road who picked up on it and I called him over, pretending he was someone I was meeting.
Totally saved me!
It’s 07:55 and 12 degrees already, in the north that means BBQ and beer (for tea)
It’s going to be a sunny, warm Friday and I’m off work for the next two weeks. I’m going to celebrate with a couple of nice beers tonight.
Got a whole list of stuff to do in the house and garden and I’m looking forward to it 🙂
Last day of school before my daughter is on Easter holidays. Of course we’re forecast rain from here on in… I’m a bit annoyed at my washing machine because I put it on at 6.30 (detached) only to find it hasn’t rinsed out the detergent properly so it’s back on rinse and spin and won’t be done until I get back from the school run. I was hoping to get it hung out before to make the most of the last dry day in a few weeks!
I’m off to Lincoln for the weekend for a writing conference and then next week off work.
Nearly finished my first week of a new job and I am mkfe than ready to just crash the fuck out and do nothing.
I’m going to the cinema to see the Minecraft movie 😊

I work tomorrow, but we’re putting on a special storytime and craft event (I work at the library) which I’m excited for! I do hope people actually turn up though 🙃

Got a busy day of dev work to catch up on, but I quite like that tbh because tomorrow will be a year since losing my mum, so any thing to lose myself in today will be grateful.
Tomorrow I’ll be seeing Dad then trying not to wallow in my feelings on the evening. Wife has picked a takeaway and a film for later (both surprises but apparently my favourites) then a hike on Sunday.

I get to work in a windowless box room for 8 to 10 hours today… But after that it could be pub time
Final day of a week of studying for my ACA exams and travelling to Birmingham everyday for the pleasure of doing so. Gonna have to revise over the weekend too lmao (although whether or not I actually do is a different matter)

It’s my last day of work pre maternity leave – I know it’s not going to be a holiday but I’m looking forward to (hopefully) having a bit of time to myself pre baby.
This is my 10th day in hospital after brain surgery and I’m hopefully being discharged today. The cannulas and catheter have been taken out so all that’s left is my staples.
I got unbelievably drunk last Saturday and have been suffering for the entire week. Cannot wait to sleep it off tomorrow morning
