A new book “Treasures of Latvia: Impressions on the World”, has just been published by the Latvian Exporters Association “The Red Jackets.”

This is the fourth edition in the “Treasures of Latvia” series, highlighting Latvia’s export ideas, creative minds, and companies whose achievements stand out on the global stage and carry Latvia’s name across the world.

“I believe in Latvian entrepreneurs and in the creative energy that empowers us to dream big and act boldly to turn ideas into reality. The “Treasures of Latvia” book is a testament to how much we have to be proud of. Latvian companies, rooted here but successful abroad, shape our country’s image — Latvia is part of the world, but with a unique voice of its own. Only together can we attract investment, reduce bureaucratic barriers, and drive change. We work shoulder to shoulder — and that is our strength,” said Prime Minister of Latvia, Evika Siliņa, in her speech at the book launch April 10.

The “Treasures of Latvia” book presents a vibrant collage of Latvian exporting companies — from major export giants to innovative startups. It includes representation from all Latvian regions, stories about Latvians around the world, and historically significant facts about the development of various industries in Latvia.

The book consists of ten chapters and features 90 exporting companies from diverse sectors. In addition to company profiles, the book highlights some of Latvia’s most powerful global ambassadors — Oscar-winning film “Straume”, NBA star Kristaps Porziņģis, designer Germans Ermičs, and Emmy-winning composer Lolita Ritmanis.

The book’s text was written by Julia Gifford and Anda Asere, with creative concept and design by Maija Rozenfelde and Jānis Kozinda from the design studio KID Design.

When entering new export markets, Latvian entrepreneurs are often faced with questions about Latvia — its traditions, values, and defining characteristics. This is why a new informative material has been created, compiling this essential information in one place.

“We are seeing more and more companies that stand out not only through their products but also through their stories, design, added value, and clear positioning in the global marketplace. This proves that Latvia is no longer just a manufacturing country — we are becoming exporters of ideas, innovations, and high-quality brands,” said Kaspars Rožkalns, Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Exporters Association The Red Jackets.

The book is available for purchase at www.theredjackets.lv and in Jānis Roze bookstores.

The Latvian Exporters Association “The Red Jackets” is an organization established to unite, support, and celebrate Latvian exporting companies. Founded in 2020 as a civic initiative, its mission is to highlight those Latvian businesses that not only export successfully but also help build a positive and recognizable image of Latvia on the world stage. Today, the association brings together 65 exporters with a combined turnover of €4 billion.
