>He was sentenced to 12 years for attempted murder in 2016, despite Israeli courts’ recognizing he had not been involved in the stabbings, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society added.
So Israel recognized his innocence and still tortured him for 10 years.
>“The Israeli authorities have imposed restriction on the family as far as holding a welcome ceremony for Ahmad or talking to the media. “
Doesn’t sound like something a democracy would do.
Yes, I’m sure that this kid and the people surrounding him will grow up to be normal, casual people without extremist views, and they definitely WON’T develop certain feelings towards the Israeli Nation.
He was not recognized as innocent. He and he’s cousin went out to find Jews to stab. They found 2 and stabbed them almost death. One was a 13 year old who happened to be hanging out on his bicycle. That kid miraculously survived but is still suffering from the stabs today. Was a 12 year sentence almost murdering someone too long? There is an argument that it was his 15 year old cousin who did the actual stabbing. That doesn’t make him innocent. When two people go commit a crime, each is responsible for the outcome.
Posting this at a top-level comment so this gains traction before the disinformation trolls come:
A) Ahmad Mansara, the subject of this article, was charged for nine and a half years jail time for chasing down people with knives; he was not alone, his partner in crime who also chased people with knives that day, **stabbed and murdered people.**
B) There is a video of him chasing people with knives, failing to reach them, giving up and looking for other people, and then chasing them instead. They knew exactly what they were doing.
C) Ahmad himself didn’t succeed in stabbing someone; only his partner succeeded. Regarding the murdered civilians, the courts ruled that indeed Ahmad wasn’t *directly* involved in *their* specific killings, for the simple reason that it was his partner who killed them
D) Ahmad was charged with **attempted murder**, which is quite evident; **you don’t need to be a lawyer to look at the released [CCTV footage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TRp1Up2S1w) and agree that it was attempted murder.**
And yes, before the trolls come, the youtube video links to Israel’s foreign ministry page, you’re welcome to find the exact same video from a different source, it’s the same CCTV footage which was released by the police two days after the murders.

You can definitely claim that, being young he should have gotten a more lenient sentence; you *cannot* claim in any way or form that he is A) innocent, B) didn’t know what he was doing.
The Israeli’s are coming hard to defend this type of disturbing ‘Democratic’ practices, lol. It’s eerily familiar of the US lynching young black youth’s and making them out to be adults in comparison to their own children. Then again, if Emmett Till was actually Palestinian, he probably would’ve only been raped, tortured and kept in jail as a minor instead of just murdered. Pro’s and con’s I guess to living next to a predatory population.
