I’ve been to the D-Day beaches. Walked out to the surf and looked at how far these guys had to go just to get off the beach. For those that survived it had to just be luck.

Never will there be a more brave generation. We owe everything to those men who sacrificed their life’s to push back fascism. They would be be ashamed at the America we have today
What’s with the bicycles being carried through the water in picture #12?
My maternal grandfather was a driver of an LST during D-Day. I never asked him directly but there were some times where he’d just say to me, I did things so you wouldn’t have to.
Fuck all those people who are willfully forgetting why we fought for and against in WWII.
