Hamas rejects Israeli truce disarmament proposal – official

1. Mhmmmm lets see what we got here.

   >The senior Palestinian official told the BBC: “The Israeli proposal relayed to the movement through Egypt explicitly called for the disarmament of Hamas without any Israeli commitment to end the war or withdraw from Gaza. Hamas therefore rejected the offer in its entirety.”

   >Israel signed onto a ceasefire deal in January, leading to the release of 33 hostages – 25 of them alive – in exchange for some 1,800 Palestinian prisoners in the first six-week stage.

   >It then largely refused to begin talks on the planned second stage which was supposed to lead to a full withdrawal of Israeli forces and a complete end to fighting

   Yep. Israel’s fault. Literally the opposite of the agreed on cease fire stage 2.

2. At this point it should be clear to every single person that Israel is the number one cause of all problems.

   It is a pariah state that is a danger to the whole world. Every single deal they break. Every single person who tries to push for a peace…is killed (see Swedish UN Envoy Count Bernadotte).

   They don’t want peace, they want an excuse to continue this until there is no Palestine left. We can see by looking at the size of what was considered Palestinian territory over the past few decades, it’s gone, they took it—by killing and raping and laughing their way to Greater Israel.

   Israel genuinely wants Palestinians to join Hamas because it gives them an excuse to kill whoever they want and they know that by killing so many people indiscriminately, they will go and join Hamas because they want to get revenge on Israel. This whole circle will never stop until the oppressor stops oppressing.

   Palestinians have absolutely every right to defend themselves from 70 years of oppression, ethnic cleansing and genocide.

3. Israel: You give up your only means of defense, while we offer nothing meaningful in return. Trust us bro, we won’t steamroll you after you unilaterally disarm, we *totally* would never do such a thing!

4. “They were super generous, they asked that Hamas give up all of their weapons and offered nothing in return, and they said no! Those people deserve it”

   – Someone, somehow.

5. Guess they’ll keep getting killed then. Sucks for civilians. I honestly can’t think of a government that hates their own people more than Hamas.

   Surrender you evil assholes. Let Palestinians have a real government.

6. The idea of wanting hamas to disarm is stupid to me. Hamas and Israel both know soon as they disarm it’ll be open season with no limitations. And then just an oopsie later and everyone will forgive and forget, Israel has proven it has no qualms doing anything and everything in order to achieve it’s goal. Objectively no one would take this deal knowing very well how it’ll end. 

7. So hamas wants israel to completely leave, while they don’t give back all the hostages. If the demands hamas wants were genuine, they would actually give up all hostages should Israel accept it, but they know israel will never both let hostages stay and leave hostages in gaza. It’s even more crazy when you consider that hamas was only offering to return half of the living hostages, when israel not only wants all it’s hostages back, but the dead ones too
